Well it has been an exciting and challenging two weeks.
The MRC crew has rolled the English River (400 feet long, 4000 tons light weight) out of the water and 500 feet up on land. We then got the Algoway (650 feet long, 7000 tons) blocked on ground, but not pulled up the 500 feet onto land as intended originally.
The weather was very challenging this past week, here on eastern Lake Erie we got the third worst storm of the past 100 years on Halloween Night. The water level in Lake Erie raised approximately 6 feet at the eastern end and we ended up with one ship too far aground, then the north wind took away 2 feet of water, to increase the challenge.
We planned for this possibility given it is November on Lake Erie!
Work will continue on both vessels and we will complete our original plan early spring.
MRC is busy quoting ship recycling and wreck removal work on both coasts and the St. Lawrence River.
2020 looks like another action packed year!
